Birthdays

Again a long weekend and this time it was for Mahashivarathri. A long weekend with no commitments is what I was looking for. Spent most of the time at home relaxing, without thinking about any of the projects. I not thinking of the projects at home happened very rarely in the past few months.

Friday was my best friend’s birthday, so had been to her house to wish her. Luckily I had time to visit her this time, I remember last year I got her a gift and presented it to her after a whole 4 months. She was very much excited. She was showing all the gifts she got and was beaming with joy.

Birthdays, it’s so good to see/make people feel that they are special, if not for the whole year at least for one day. We started to celebrate our colleagues’ birthdays in office from past few months, the 30 mins or so that we spend in the small celebrations, the ambience gets filled with laughter. In this fast paced city life, birthdays gives you an occasion or reason to visit your near and dear ones. Oh yeah also you get to eat the birthday cakes as well :) :)

In this busy schedule a meet with a friend is the most delighful thing! Good that you went to meet your friend. Its not necessary to think about projects once out of office! use the time to act on those small hobbies and wishes.. work will always be there it wont go... so when free enjoy the time!
